Rider Eligibility
- Ages 4–7
- Maximum Weight: 55 lbs. (verified at check-in)
Registration
- Opens: Wednesday, July 29 at 10:00 AM
- Closes: Friday, August 28 at 10:00 PM
- Entry Fee: $45 per rider
If space remains available during the fair, ride opportunities may be purchased at the check-in table for $50 (cash only).
Tryout Information
- Dates: Thursday, September 3 or Friday, September 4
- Check-In: 6:00 PM
- Location: Exposition Building (Village Shopping Area)
- Enter through: Highway 121 Gate
Registration Includes
- 1 Adult Fairgrounds Admission
- 1 Child Fairgrounds Admission
Championship Ride
The top 20 riders from each tryout night advance to the Championship Ride during the PBR performances on Saturday, September 5 or Sunday, September 6.
Championship qualifiers receive:
- Event T-shirt
- 2 General Admission PBR tickets
Each night's champion receives a Central Texas State Fair Mutton Bustin' Championship Belt Buckle.
Photography & Videos
By participating in this event, the participant (or parent/legal guardian of a minor) grants permission to the Central Texas State Fair to photograph and record video of the participant and to use these images and recordings for promotional, advertising, marketing, and social media purposes without compensation.
